Next Generation is a company with true entrepreneurial spirit. Founded in 1994 by current CEO David A. Frecka, Next is on the forefront of innovation and technology in the flexible packaging industry.

A graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Business, Frecka began his career as a sales representative for Petoskey Plastics. In fact, Frecka had over two decades of experience in the plastic film industry before starting Next Generation. He recognized a need in the market for high-end, specialty products. By early 1994, he followed his instincts to aggressively build a new company to fill the need and subsequently opened Next Generation Films.

In 1997, Frecka brought in Dan Niss as an integral part of Team Next. Niss is currently the acting Next Generation President, and is a certified manufacturing engineer. Niss is a graduate of Morehead State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

David J. Rehfeldt is currently Next Generation Films CFO. Rehfeldt has over 20 years experience as a top financial executive of corporations with revenues in excess of $250 million. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International. Rehfeldt holds a B.B. A. from the University of Alaska Anchorage in Accounting.

As our Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Paul Gorman recently joined the executive team at Next bringing over 23 years of sales, marketing and business management experience in the flexible packaging and industrial distribution markets. Paul has an established track record of successfully leading the sales team into new markets with product innovation and a focus on building relationships with customer and suppliers. Paul is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a bachelors degree in Economics.
