TAFT HONORS 2002 ENTREPRENEURS OF THE YEAR
COLUMBUS (September 26, 2002) — Governor Bob Taft today honored the 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) award winners from five Ohio regions including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Toledo. Ohio's winners were recognized during a luncheon ceremony at the Columbus Museum of Art.
The EOY awards are presented to entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success and excellence in areas including innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to business and community.
"The Entrepreneur of the Year program spotlights Ohio as a national leader in entrepreneurial activity," Taft said. "I congratulate this year's award winners. They are inspirations to Ohio's business community and are deserving of this prestigious distinction."
The EOY program is a national recognition program consisting of regional competitions in approximately 40 cities throughout the United States. Ohio winners will advance to the national competition held this November in Palm Springs, California.
